Colorado State senior Kelcey Bedard placed second in the women's weight throw with a fifth-round effort of 72-10 (22.20m) at the New Mexico Don Kirby Elite Indoor Invitational at Albuquerque Convention Center. Bedard ascended to the No. 6 collegiate performer this season, in addition to No. 11 among Americans and 13th in the world this year.
